Word of Life Kick-off!

Word of Life’s annual youth event, Kick-off, happened tonight.

I went as a helper with a church that my good friends attend. Left home at 3 pm, got home at 11:40. it was a hectic day, but SO rewarding. Essentially, what I did was help with a bit of the A/V setup, and run a couple of the games that were there.

There were arcade games, air hockey, foosball (table soccer), a huge inflatable rock-climbing wall, and many other games which I won’t bother explaining. I personally manned the foosball table. It was a bit challenging to say the least, but all up, wonderful!

More soon.

Kiama day 4 – the boneyard.

Yes. Interesting name.

But it really is called the Boneyard (or Boneyard Beach, or something). The weather was cool, but tolerable.

Oh, I also built a sort of dam to hold back the water. Considering I didn’t use any mortar of cement, and not heavy machinery, I think I did a good job.

Well I’m out haha. Brb, catchin’ some ZZ’s.

‘Tis the season for lights and decorations!

Tonight, I went for a drive with some friends to a suburb about 20 minutes away from my house. That area is renowned for the competition that goes on between neighbours, in an effort to have the best lit house in the street/neighbourhood/suburb.

Unfortunately, I only had my phone with me, hence I could only take mediocre photos. I’ll spare you the pain and not post any. Besides, I may be going again next week; if so, I’ll ensure that I’ve taken my trusty point-and-shoot.

Christmas lights and decorations are by no means the main point of Christmas (Jesus’ birth), but it’s a really cool bonus, that’s for sure. I mean, hey, they look good!

Summer weather is here. Unfortunately.

Yes indeedy. It’s 11 pm now, and 23°.

If my dodgy thermometer is to be trusted, the temperature was 38° in the shade, and 45° in the sun this afternoon.

And it’s not even summer yet.

But at least I have the pleasure of living in a house with air-conditioning. I’ve lived in a/c-less houses before, and I know how it feels to go through summer without any cooling.

So, that’s all for now.

Today’s update (13th Oct)

Yes, I played tennis. No, I didn’t die, suffer a heart attack, or any of the above. I did, however, discover my decreased lack in tennis skill. Eh; it’s to be expected.

In other news: I had a marvelous time with some awesome friends tonight. We have finished a mini-series in the Bible study, so tonight was a sort of fun/food night. we had dinner, played a game, and hung around talking. I’m truly so privileged to have these friends as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Good night!

Note: I KNOW I KNOW, I forgot to post on the 13th.

Tennis, this time for real

Yep haha, a tennis game is on tomorrow, because the game scheduled for last Thursday was cancelled. Here goes nothing.

I’m going to play tennis tomorrow

Scary thing is, I haven’t played in over 1 and a half years.

Hopefully I’ll still remember how to hold the racket.
