Chords for “Rags to Robes” by Caleb and Sol

Whaddaya know…they beat me to it!

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a brief update stating that I had chorded “Rags to Robes”, but had lost misplaced the draft sheet on which I pencilled the chord arrangement*.

I found the sheet last week, and I’ve scanned and uploaded an image of my version of chords. Interesting how they’re pretty much spot on, compared to the official chords by Caleb and Sol!

Then just today, I saw a twitter update posted by Caleb and Sol on Wednesday, mentioning that they finished a song for their new CD. Upon clicking the link in that tweet, I discovered a comment by one of the guys, saying that all the chords for their album “Afloat” are available on their website, http://www.calebandsol.com.

Click here for the direct link to the *.zip file that contains the chords and lyrics in PDF format. Here is the link to the zip file with the songs in Word format.

My version, arranged a couple of weeks ago:

Chorus

Verse

Chord note: The verse chords are to be played softly and subtly. They aren’t included in Caleb and Sol’s version of chords, probably because that part of the song is meant to be only vocals.

Lyrics note: I wasn’t sure of the 2nd word, but “in” sounded closest. Turns out that it’s supposed to be the word “to”.

Last couple of lines

The above snippet of chords is included to show what chord to play for the word “Freedom”, which is an A.

*Fun fact: I typed out and printed the lyrics to start chording them on the same day that Caleb and Sol created the Word documents. (I checked the file properties of both documents, and they were both last saved on the 17th of November) So that’s some trivia for ya!

Massive props to Caleb and Sol for uploading the lyrics and chords to their website! I’m sure it will be a great blessing for the many people who will use those files. Also, it saves me having to chord all their songs, haha.

Hope you found this post helpful. Thanks for reading, and God bless!

Thanks a lot for the encouragement Sol! I’m really blessed by the work you guys have done and are doing in your music, and it’s my privilege to help spread the word in a small way like this.
      Keep serving our King, bro!
